Dresden 1984-1985 (1985)

Dresden 1984-1985 (1985)

The Furuya family began to live in Dresden in May 1984. The reason is that Furuya got an interpreting job at a Japanese construction company that was undertaking hotel construction at the time. After completion of the Hotel „ Bellevue” in Dresden in 1985, a new hotel was to be built in Berlin, and the Furuya family moved to East Berlin. His wife, Christine, died in October 1985. His son Komyo was sent to his mother-in-law's house in Graz in the summer of 1986. After the “Grand Hotel” was completed on Friedrichstrasse in late summer 1987, Furuya left East Berlin and returned to Graz.
